The MA Assistive Technology Loan Program Needs You!
The MA Assistive Technology (AT) Loan Program is looking for new members to join its program committee. This is an excellent opportunity to become involved with a program that has provided over $5 million in loans to more than 300 individuals. The committee meets four times a year in Boston, and transportation to these meetings is covered. The committee is particularly seeking increased participation from representatives of the Deaf and blind communities, as well as family members of people with disabilities. Overview
The MA AT Loan Program Committee provides oversight and guidance for the operations of the MA AT Loan Program. The committee includes individuals with disabilities, stakeholders from the disability community, and finance professionals. Meeting quarterly, the committee ensures compliance across all loan program operations, makes policy decisions, reviews program activities, and guarantees that the loan program adheres to appropriate standards for serving all individuals with disabilities. To effectively guide future decisions for the program, committee members are expected to remain knowledgeable about current assistive technology available to applicants.
