Loan Programs for Assistive Technology and Accessibility
Loan programs funded by public and private sources are available to help individuals purchase assistive technology (AT), durable medical equipment (DME), home modifications, vehicles, and vehicle adaptations.
Massachusetts Assistive Technology Loan Program (MATLP)
The MATLP is a state-funded program that provides low-interest cash loans to individuals with disabilities and their families, helping them purchase the assistive technology they need. Read more about MATLP

Central Bank Special Needs Loans

Citizen’s Bank EZ Home Improvement Loans
Citizen’s Bank provides low-interest loans of up to $10,000 for home improvements, including accessibility modifications, to qualifying low- and moderate-income households. Both homeowners and renters may apply, though availability is limited to certain areas of Massachusetts. Read more
Digital Federal Credit Union Loans
The Digital Federal Credit Union offers “Access Loans” for AT, DME, and home modifications, as well as “Mobility Vehicle Loans” for purchasing and modifying vehicles. These loans, available to members of the American Association of People with Disabilities, feature extended repayment terms and financing for up to 100% of the purchase cost. Read more
